About Me

I am so happy that you are here and life brought us together! Let me introduce and share a little bit about myself.

I currently live in sunny San Diego (although, I am much more of a mountain & lake gal, than beach and ocean). I am a single mom to teenage son. I have two amazing sister’s. I have spent my professional career in Human Resources. I love God & my family. I am an introvert. I am a perpetual student of life and academics; always on the quest to learn, grow and evolve (I have a slight addiction to buying books, taking personality tests and signing up for webinars).

A little bit about my story (the cliff note version):

The first half of my life can really be described as the Great L’s: Great Loss, Great Love and Great Lessons. I have experienced the soul-wrenching heartache of losing loved ones; losing both of my parents to cancer before the age of 12, the heartbreak of finding myself divorced at the age of 22, and losing the only mother I ever really knew in 2014 (my ex mother-in-law) to lung cancer.

However, my great losses have allowed me to also experience, on a deeper level, great love and great lessons. I have been blessed by my journey, to be able to love deeply because I have experienced loss deeply;  I have been able to learn from my experiences because I have had no other option but to put one foot in front of the other and keep going.

I will always be on a quest to discover and live out my purpose and I know that my story is part of it. I am excited to continue to grow and evolve with each of you and to add another Great L to the second half of my story: the Great Life!

About Intentional Transformation

Intentional Transformation was created really as my own ‘self-help’ resource. Throughout most of my life, I had to pretty much figure out how to ‘survive’ on my own. I went through many seasons of difficulty in being a single mom, not being fulfilled in my career (professionally, or financially), struggling to find my purpose, figuring out how to balance everything, etc. There were many moments where I just felt really alone and ill-equipped throughout various stages of my life.

I knew that my life was bigger than where I was – I knew that my life had more purpose than what I was living – and I knew that I didn’t want to continue to SURVIVE through life. But as much as I knew all of these things, I had no idea how to make those feelings a reality. So I did the only thing I knew how to do; I read (a lot).

Intentional Transformation is for the every day person, living the every day life. It is a resource created by an every day gal/mom/professional who was traveling in the same shoes and just happened  to take what she was learning and share it; in hopes to empower others to stop living an every day life.

Intentional Transformation is about saying yes to the journey and making every day choices to  overcome the obstacles in our past and present, so that they no longer dictate our future.

If you are ready to take the first step in living intentionally – you have come to the right spot!
